On Boarding Requirements

The nuclear sector is a highly regulated industry so the workforce will not only require specific site access qualifications, but will also need formal qualifications to evidence their knowledge and skills. Even experienced workers may have to undertake some training to meet project requirements.

There are different routes in order to attain the necessary training prerequisites that can be taken when coming to work at Sizewell C. Your contract manager will be in the best position to advise you of the best option to take.

Examples of the prerequisites for participating in the Sizewell C Induction before coming to site are likely to be;

  • Drug and alcohol certificate, i.e. dated within 4 weeks of attending the eventual Sizewell C Induction.
  • Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) or CSCS Health Safety & Environment test (HS&E test dated after 1st April 2012).
  • Triple Bar for Nuclear New Build Sites.
  • Minimum of BPSS vetting.
  • Site supervisor training as applicable.
