Direct or Indirect?

How do you tell the difference between a direct and an indirect supplier?

The Sizewell C Supply Chain portal provides two levels of registration. These depend on the type of work you expect to perform on the project; either to register as:

Site Contractor = Direct

For businesses whose work is directly related to construction at the Sizewell C site or associated development and who will have their products or personnel on site during the construction. These businesses are required to submit the following information.

  • Relevant Categories,
  • Relevant Capabilities
  • Accreditations- Quality managment, Health & Safety, Environmental
  • Number of employees
  • Keywords
  • Additional Turnover information is also required in order to aid ‘Tier One companies using the search to find relevant suppliers.( this information will not be available to the public or other registered companies.)
  • Details of Recent Projects

Indirect Service Supplier= not directly related to on site activity

This is a simpler registration for those suppliers offering services to EDF Energy and main contractors that are not directly related to on-site activity (such as taxi firms, accommodation providers, office supplies, furniture supplies, local retailers, training providers, etc) who are providing a service to the project, whilst not necessarily on the site. These businesses should submit the following information.

  • Relevant Categories,
  • Relevant Capabilities
  • Accreditations- Quality managment, Health & Safety, Environmental
  • Number of employees
  • Keywords

If you are unsure whether you are registered correctly please contact me and I will be happy to help.
