As the Sizewell C project advances, we’re excited to invite local, regional, and national suppliers to a virtual round table discussion focussing on the sector specific topic: Radio and Telecoms Infrastructure Maintenance Services.
This session will be held on Wednesday, 18th September 2024 |15:00 – 16:00, via Microsoft Teams.
The meeting will discuss the broad strategy for this piece of work and will include (but not limited to) the following:
Radio:
– Two masts will be installed in different locations on site with Staff radio equipment installed on them.
– This contract will include the operations of managing the radio handsets. A certain amount will already be purchased, the supplier may will need a engineers on site to control the management of these to personnel on site, recharge, maintain etc.
-The supplier will review the performance of the system, fix faults reactively when they occur, repair any damaged equipment.
– Where there are performance issues due to construction and further radio equipment is requirements, Leaky feeder, repeaters, DAS systems etc the supplier responsively come up with the solutions required and install on site.
Comms maintenance:
– Two mast and fibre network installed round the development site with 2 fibre hub building.
– Planned maintenance for the masts, compounds and hub buildings.
– Reactive maintenance to the fibre and passive infrastructure.
– Further infrastructure required to improve cellular coverage whilst the construction takes place.
