Ipswich Creative Agency Supports Sizewell C with Major Six-Figure Digital Services Contract
Ipswich-based creative and digital agency Cheddar Creative is playing a key role in the delivery of the Sizewell C nuclear power project, having secured a significant six-figure contract to deliver web and digital services across multiple platforms.
Cheddar Creative has been working directly with Sizewell C since late 2022, supporting the project with the design, development and ongoing management of its online ecosystem. The work spans seven major digital platforms, including the public-facing Sizewell C website, the Accommodation Management System (AMS), Team Sizewell C extranet, Works Tracker, Development Consent Order (DCO) Document Portal, Harbour Authority website and the Young SZC website.

As a full-service creative agency, Cheddar Creative has delivered a wide range of services, from technical consultancy and project management through to SEO, hosting and long-term technical support. For the Young SZC project, the agency also provided video production, brand identity and logo design, as well as copywriting and content creation.
A dedicated core team of five to six people from Cheddar Creative has worked largely full-time on Sizewell C projects since January 2023. The agency has operated within rigorous security and governance requirements, working closely with Sizewell C’s IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure all digital platforms meet the standards expected of a nationally significant infrastructure project.
The contract has had a transformative impact on the business. In addition to strengthening Cheddar Creative’s technical capabilities in areas such as cybersecurity and nuclear governance, the project has enabled the agency to invest in people and skills. Through its involvement with Sizewell C, Cheddar Creative has expanded its engagement with local schools and organisations including Inspire Suffolk, offering work placements and paid internships to young people, particularly through the Young SZC initiative.
Cheddar Creative has also begun engaging more actively with the Suffolk Chamber Supply Chain Engagement team through regular supply chain webinars, gaining greater insight into the construction phase of the project and building connections with other regional suppliers.
Richard Wood, Creative Director & CEO of Cheddar Creative, said:
“Being selected as the preferred supplier for web and digital services on one of the UK’s biggest construction projects was transformational for us. We’re a small team, so it was a huge vote of confidence. We’ve loved collaborating with the Sizewell C teams to develop creative, user-friendly solutions to complex technical challenges, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve delivered so far.”
Looking ahead, Cheddar Creative plans to build on its experience with Sizewell C by expanding its work within major infrastructure and highly regulated sectors. The agency is also keen to raise its profile within the Sizewell C supply chain by engaging in events, collaborative initiatives and knowledge-sharing opportunities with fellow suppliers.
By contributing to one of the UK’s most important clean energy developments, Cheddar Creative is demonstrating the strength, capability and innovation of Suffolk’s creative and digital sector on a national stage.
